There is so much uncertainty in the world today. Things are changing so fast and it seems as if the race is to the swift. It seems as if the standards are constantly fluctuating and the rules are being redefined. Everything seems to be up for discussion. The wicked seems to be winning and having a party.
However, that is simply an illusion. It is all a game of ‘make-believe’. The truth is that any victory won without God is fleeting.
True success comes from God.
I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift, or the battle to the strong,
nor does food come to the wise; or wealth to the brilliant; or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.
So then it does not depend on human will or effort but on God who shows mercy.
(Ecclesiastes 9:11; Romans 9:16)
We can live secure in the love of God and trust His wisdom to be our guide as we navigate the labyrinth of life.
In the stable times we can rely on God; in changing times, we can depend on God.
We can have perpetual victory because we are not governed by the standards of this world. We are not dependent on the world system. We can be secure in the love of God and know that He would always make everything work together for good. God’s love is not dependent on us or our circumstances – His love never fails. Therefore, we can remain rooted and unshaken by the storms of life.
Take your eyes off your circumstances and fix your gaze on God
Rely on the wisdom of God to guide you through life. You can weather the storms of life with the Wisdom of God. You can stand secured in His love refused to be tossed by the current events
The world is not our standard. God is our standard
As we live secured in His love, we need to increase in wisdom. The word of God is the Wisdom of God. Therefore, as we increase in the knowledge of the word of God, we increase in Wisdom.
“The wise also will hear and increase in learning, and the person of understanding will acquire skill and attain to sound counsel [so that he may be able to steer his course rightly]”
Proverbs 1:5
When you live based on the Wisdom of God, you can be sure that everything will work out right for you. Living by Wisdom takes the pressure out of life.
“But whoso hearkens to me [Wisdom] shall dwell securely and in confident trust and shall be quiet, without fear or dread of evil.” Proverbs 1:33
Living by Wisdom is living secured.
“You can weather the storms of life through God’s Wisdom”….so true, tested and proven. Thanks for the reminder
