I started 2019 with guns blazing about consistency! I knew that this year would be unprecedented and I had to be consistent to harvest the fullness of 2019. I published my first blogpost of the year on consistency to share my heart with you and invite you to take the journey with me. By February, the daily pressure was getting so real that I used another lifeline and wrote about it in my February blogpost However, by the end of March, juggling multiple priorities led to a blur and I had lost my way.
What happened? How did it happen? Why is it so difficult to stay consistent? How is it possible to know what to do and yet not do it every day?
Inconsistency thrives in secrecy.
The calendar provided a wake-upcall and I am digging my heels in and getting back up again. I refuse to give up and concede any blessing of 2019 to the enemy. Each day provides the opportunity of a new beginning and I am determined to keep moving in the right direction daily. You can do the same thing – Irrespective of what you are going through and how this year has been, you can get back up and keep going strong. You do not have to be defined by the curve in the road. Get back up again- I am cheering you on.
“For a righteous man falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked are overthrown by calamity.”
Proverbs 24:16
The discipline of consistency has growing pains and it is important to determine to persist. The things that are required for success are not difficult. For example, you can find out “How to become a millionaire the boring way” – it all boils down to my new favorite word – CONSISTENCY
To grow in our relationship with God, it requires constant study of the Word of God. Anybody can do that for one day but those who become giants in faith spend time in the Word of God every single day. No wonder God told Joshua to be consistent in order to get good success.
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8
“What’s simple to do is also simple not to do”- Jim Rohn
It’s time to get back up, recalibrate and refocus on your priorities. Renew the commitment to make daily progress towards your dreams -make this your year!
