In emergency situations, everyone cries out to God for help out of desperation. In difficult situations, we beg God for a solution.
When the pressure is turned on and it seems nothing is ever going to change – we resort to desperate cries for help…
We beg God as if He is holding out on us – Praying turns to pleading and fear creeps in.
Fear is a weapon of the enemy and it has torment
We beg out of fear, unfortunately once fear sets in, faith waivers.
Without faith we cannot receive anything from God
“Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God.
I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.
But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.”
Mark 11:22-24
The mountain is the most enduring obstacle imaginable. Jesus used the analogy of the mountain to assure us that nothing can resist the Word of God spoken in faith.
You can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
The Word of God is the will of God.
When you face challenges, stand boldly on the word of God and enforce His will in your life. Guard your heart with the Word of God – Refuse to fear!
Jesus died so that you may have life. He does not have to do anything else – He finished the work.
Enforce the will of God by declaring the Word of God over your life.
Stop praying the problem and start to pray the answer by declaring the Word of God concerning the situation
We should not spend our prayer time describing our challenges to God. We should pray the word of God that addresses our circumstances.
For example, when symptoms of sickness appear, we don’t have to pray:
‘Lord touch my body and heal me’
Instead, in faith we can declare:
‘I stand upon the word of God in Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24; and I declare that I am healed in the name of Jesus!’
Healing is a finished work; prosperity, salvation and deliverance are also a part of His finished work.
We are not trying to get God to heal us, save us or deliver us – He already did! Now we have to accept the finished work of God and walk in it!
Change the way you pray. Do not pray to God about the mountain. Begin to boldly declare the answer according to the word of God and then by faith tell the mountain where to go (the sea is a good spot!)
Refuse to fear – Perfect love casts out fear. Pray in faith.
“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32
