AUTOPILOT

It is so easy to get distracted with urgent matters pressing in and schedules getting increasingly busier. There always seems to be too many things to do in too little time. Sometimes, it even feels like the bills are coming in faster than the paychecks…

The temptation is to run on autopilot when the days go by in a daze. However, we need to consciously put the brakes on pressure, and declare who is in charge. Circumstances do not control our lives, God does.

You have the power to enjoy each day. No matter what the day brings, you can choose to respond in a way that would please God. When those feet hit the floor in the morning, the temptation is to go-go-go, do this, do that, make that call, check email, etc. The devil will try to crowd your life and edge God out. Therefore, you have to slow down on purpose and make Jesus the center of your life.

The more you need to accomplish, the more you need God.

Most people are living on autopilot, doing the barest minimum, just getting by, living by rote, and barely existing instead of living the full life that God intended. That does not have to be your story…

You can choose to live purposefully and make each day count. Every single day you grow physically. In the same way, you can determine to grow purposefully in other areas of your life. You can determine to grow spiritually each day by learning a little more about God each day. You can choose to spend some time each day investing in your future.

Do something each day that takes you closer to the person you want to become. Invest today into your future.

Make each day count for you. Make each week count. Let the turnaround in your life begin today.

It does not matter how young or how old you are, you can make your days count for God. You can grow in wisdom every day, through every circumstance, through every season. You do not have to wait for a certain thing to happen or a certain time to begin to live. Live your best life now.

Do not wait for that dream job – be faithful today in whatever your hand finds to do.

Do not wait for your dream spouse – be consistent in developing yourself to be the dream spouse.

Don’t wait for someone to do something for you, go out of your way to do something for somebody today.

Treasure today, it is a gift. Today is the present. Unwrap your present and rejoice!

Whether you invest today or waste it, it would pass – so, why not invest today and make it count towards tomorrow. Do not watch each day go by, frame today and make it count forever through the value you add to your life.

We could wait for something to happen or we could make something happen tomorrow by our actions today. Get over the inertia, let the power of the Holy Spirit quicken you to be God’s best for you each day. Invest today to gain unparalleled momentum tomorrow.

This is your time to arise.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.” Isaiah 60:1

Don’t wait for something to happen, you were created to make something happen!
